I Found It!!! it's gorgeous.

I found it!!! the blog I was talking about yesterday. Maria from Cologne was kind enough to let me know that it belongs to the lovely Stina. The blog is called Lilla Kullan and the images are just beautiful.
There are loads of images from Stina's home and it is all done in whites, greys and all of the things I posted about in my Must Haves post a few days ago.

I love this shelving in her kitchen and all of her sweet little jugs.

Get our Christmas table arrangement organised. Yep, we decided to not do the outdoor Bar-b-Que like last year. this year we are doing the traditional baked dinner, which means I can dress the table a lot nicer. Also....

I will be working on some details for The Barn opening!!!
I painted the fence white which is along where the barn is and also got 2nd degree sunburn while doing it yesterday! I am SO sore and serves me right...no sunscreen. I didn't think I was out there that long =0l

...but most importantly, I will be taking some time for myself and time to spend with those dearest to me - my beautiful family in our loving home.

I would like to thank you all for supporting me and always encouraging me to do great things with my talents. It is because of you all that I achieved so much this year and I hope to do better things in 2010. I have met so many amazing people and made some good friends through this blog.

Its not Christmas without linen!

Linen at Christmas time looks so beautiful and I dreamt up so many decorative uses for it last year that I plan to do this year. Linen stockings for one to go with the wrapping for this year.

Linen napkins with fresh greenery to jazz up the table and keep it fresh looking for our warm Christmas day.

I would love to have some linen grain sack cushions to fill up our chaise which will be getting moved outside this year...lets hope it doesn't rain!

...and I plan to make a big version of my hand towels this year to use as a table runner. I am just realising now that I am going to be extremely busy this year - whats new!

I love this space. Sorry for the image quality! It really has that fresh, bright feel of a Scandinavian home, or even an Ikea catalogue shoot. Whatever it is, I am into it. Maybe it is the white sofa, linen coloured roman blinds and little hits of black??

My quest to cover our own well worn sofa is still underway. I searched for hours yesterday to find the right material for two small boys to be mates with...still deciding. I did however find a very nice neutral shade of denim that I am off to get a swatch of and while the boys and I are in Sydney next week, I will be looking at Ikea...maybe they can save me some time sewing!

Scandinavian Sweetie...

...in the UK! This little house is just so cute. I love the palette used in this 19th century cottage, so peaceful and serene.It belongs to Property Developer Yolanda Cubbit and her Husband, Trevor. Pretty much everything was changed to make way for loads of natural light...inspired by the Swedes.

Part of the living has been put to good use with this wonderful French table, where Yolanda can gaze out the window whilst doing a budget for one of her many make overs.
Even though the space is small and some of the pieces large, like the ottoman, the space is so snug and fresh.

The use of Architectural elements like this piece above the mantel, give some character and interest to space, and pieces collected over time sit wonderfully together with new bought items.
hallways and tight spaces have all been put to good use, as the house is small. Like this hallway which houses extra seating which can be pulled in to the living space if needed....
...and this landing which is a home office.

The main bedroom has also been kept light and airy, using mainly white and creams with the little punches of red in the quilt...anything too colourful would overwhelm this room.

I just love this space made for their Grandson when he comes to stay. Squeezed in under the sloping ceiling, the white red and blue scheme looks so fresh.

Yolanda's love of French and Scandinavian style has served her well here in a difficult home that didn't attract too much natural light...until she got her hands on it that is!

Swoon...

If, like me you are currently trying to pop your eyes back in, then you have totally fallen in love with this kitchen/dining room. What is there not to love about this space? hints of green, vintage text, worn, waxed wood table, wooden storage creates, mercury glass, white units, zinc, tolix chairs, etc. I think it is beautiful but, what til you see the next bit...

...aahh! White in all of it's beauty. Even the pooch matches. A heavenly restful place. Nothing to mess with your head in terms of colour except the hints of blue on the bed, the wood floors, wicker baskets and the statute...divine!

This home is full of worn wonder's like these little trophies from time that show the hard life they once endured before being brought in from the weather and given a A1 vantage point on top of a table.

As my Scandinavian is non existent and my translator wasn't playing when I viewed this lovely home, I am guessing this glorious store belongs to these super lucky owners...damn them (lol)!

There is so much I would spend my Monopoly money on here...actually, I'll take one of each. Anyone want to go halves in a container?
