Lazy Sunday...

The weekend will be here officially in the morning.

I have a sick child, so it is going to be a pottering-about-the-house day.

The few projects I have on the go, which I have been wanting to show you will have to wait  a little longer while this little Boy gets better.

I have been thinking of lazy Sundays lately.

Our Sundays have been anything but.

Here is my version of a homely Sunday.

*Washing white sheets

*Sewing with vintage linen

*Snuggling on the sofa with our little family by the fire.

*Baking and watching movies

here

*and of course, coffee. I would love it to be in this mug I must say.

So, I hope you can wait a little longer until our newly turned 7 year old recovers from Tonsillitis and I can get these jobs finished.

For your patience, there will be a surprise!!!

Needs...Well Maybe Wants

While I have been spending a lot of time in my office of late I have come to realise what it is that I need to make this reasonably new space of mine work for me.

1. some white shelves

2. old worn wooden crates

3. white jugs for my masses of brushes and tools

real living

4. an awesome work light just like this

5. some more letters, cause I don't have enough already ;0)

6. more twine, cause I am nearly out

7. Hydrangeas...well I have them, but you can never have enough right?

Then I would work with out any dramas all day =0)

Restful....

Let's get back on track here.

Some beautiful, restful spaces. I have culled back a bit in our bedroom and have been looking at new, green ways to bring life into our room and I have always loved how the Swedish/Scandinavian homes have a topiary or an Ivy plant (like this one above, trained on a wire form) around in abundance. I have a little one, which is on my kitchen mantle (see yesterdays post) and one in a pressed tin box which has just about died! Maybe it is time for me to hit the nursery and get some Ivy. This shot is magnificent!

country living

This image is just lovely too, but it is the cable knit throw on the end of the bed which I saved this image for. The grey one I bought last year, although lovely, just doesn't seem to hold my heart anymore and I have always wanted a cable knit throw, like the ones you see in Country Road Home...just don't like the price tag!

The monogrammed linens on this bed are perfect...and something else on my list.

Loving...Wishing...

Not only is this blog my visual journal for projects, homes and beautiful design that I love, but it is also a great place to advertise a wish list of sorts. Also from The Vintage Rose are these beautiful wicker hampers. Amanda has just posted these images and I haven't been in to her store for a little while, so I really need to make a trip in there.
It was funny though, I have been on the lookout for something just like this and I was starting to give up on finding anything I really loved...this is it!
